Concert review and photo gallery: Blink 182/Fallout Boy/All American Rejects at Superpages (Sept. 23)
DALLAS The long awaited 2009 Blink 182 reunion tour made its stop in a extremely cool-weathered Dallas on Wednesday night at the packed Superpages.com center. Along for the ride were opening acts Asher Roth, All American Rejects, and Fall Out Boy.

A glitter and tiny-underwear clad Tyson Ritter (All American Rejects vocalist) began the AAR set at 7:05 p.m., as the venue erupted with cheers while he flailed about, sending glitter flying everywhere. Opening with the monster hit "Move Along" and closing with "Gives You Hell" the guys played a power packed set full of familiar hits and plenty of adoration for the ladies in the crowd.
Fall Out Boy began their second 2009 set in Dallas (they were previously here just the past April) at 8 p.m., performing (like the All American Rejects) in front of a curtain blocking Blink's stage setup. Though the area was small, they did manage to fit their giant FOB lights in front of the drum-riser and brought the same amount of energy as always while running through their massive catalog of hits (even adding a great rendition of Journeys "Don't Stop Beleving," to which the entire venue sang along loudly).
Headliners Blink 182 took the stage for the first time in Dallas in many years at 9:20 p.m. as the entire venue went absolutely insane for the legendary punk trio. (This is where you complain that I referred to them as a punk band...) Tearing through hit after hit, it quickly became clear that the guys definitely still have it. Just as before the infamous 2005 break-up, the boys notoriously talked to the crowd and told inappropriate (yet funny) jokes and stories between songs. For a band that's been around for 17 years, they haven't lost an ounce of their ability to captivate an audience. Here's hoping for new material and more touring in the near future.
