Concert review: P!nk at American Airlines Center (September 23)

1

— “This use to be a funhouse….” are the first lyrics sang after P!nk’s entrance from the floor of the American Airlines Center, as she ascended into the air in the attire of a funhouse princess. Lights flickered, smoke billowed, and fans screamed as she and her dancers pranced across the stage. It was a welcome entrance for her “Funhouse” tour.

The concert was simply amazing! She took her talent to another level by singing various songs from her current and past albums, and even threw in a few covers.

I'll tell you something about me: I have never been to a concert before. From the dancers to the musicians, everyone was in sync and organized. P!nk’s beautiful voice flowed through the American Airlines Center while all of her fans sang with her. And, she really sang the whole time instead of lip-syncing.

I have loved P!nk since her first appearance with “There you go,” but this concert made me have a new level of respect for her. Over the years, her sound has changed from pop/R&B to rock, but the change was for the better.

Everyone should experience a concert of one of their favorite artists. There’s nothing like being in a big room with thousands of people who love the same thing you do, singing along with all of the songs, and shedding tears of joy because you see one of your favorite people on stage. I hope to soon attend another P!nk concert.

It was a FANTASTIC SHOW! The stage marvelous - the acrobatics insane. From energetic rock moves to sultry, seductive invitations to "campfire" ballads - this FUNHOUSE tour is one for the record books.
