Oakland A’s 12, Texas Rangers 3
The Texas Rangers are watching their playoff hopes fade away, as they lost 12-3 to the Oakland A's in Oakland. The loss was the fifth to Oakland in the Rangers' last 11 games, dropping them to 83-69.

The loss dropped Texas further behind in their playoff chases. With the result of the Boston game pending, Texas fell to seven games behind the LA Angels for first place in the AL West, and 7 1/2 games behind the Red Sox for the wild card with ten games remaining.
Rangers starter Scott Feldman was terrible against the A's for the second start in a row, surrendering seven runs on seven hits over three-plus innings. Feldman, who walked a career-high five and struck out two, fell to 17-6 with a 3.90 ERA.
The Rangers hitters didn't fare that much better. The entire team collected just six hits, all singles, and a pair of walks. The lone offensive bright spot was leadoff hitter Ian Kinsler, who went 1-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and a stolen base.
