DAL -- Jeff Cunningham 14 (Dave van den Bergh 9, David Ferreira 6) 5
DAL -- David Ferreira 7 (Dave van den Bergh 10) 10
DAL -- Jeff Cunningham 15 (unassisted) 87
FRISCO FC Dallas beat Real Salt Lake 3-0, and the win improves FC Dallas to 8-12-6 (30 points). FC Dallas remains in seventh place in the Western Conference, four points behind Real Salt Lake and seven points out of the last playoff spot.
The win evens the season series between the clubs at one win each, and continues the trend of Dallas winning every home game against Real Salt Lake. Dallas is now 10-5-1 all time against Salt Lake.
This was Dallas’ fourth shutout of the season and Dario Sala’s third. Sala also made a season-high six saves.
FC Dallas Head Coach Schellas Hyndman on the game: “I thought FC Dallas played really inspired tonight, it was one of our better games as far as playing from the start to the end. I thought that was one of the better games as far as team spirit, players played hard for each other and covered up for each other, and I think it shows that we are getting closer and closer to where we want to be.
"I thought Jeff was outstanding again tonight. We had them 2-0 when we were in Salt Lake and they came back, and that was one of the messages we talked about to not let it happen again, and I thought we stayed pretty compact not giving them too many chances in the second half. At the end of the first half, they did have some chances, we were getting a little bit too stretched, but you walk away with this game feeling really good.”
