Esteemed chef David Uygur will open restaurant in Dallas’ Bishop Arts District
Don't know name yet and don't know address.
DALLAS David Uygur, the favorite chef of serious foodies across Dallas, will open a restaurant in the Bishop Arts District, as confirmed by an email just in:
It’s official: David’s just signed a lease on a space for his restaurant. It’s in Dallas, in the Bishop Arts District in North Oak Cliff. We’ll keep you posted as things progress.
No more details were available, such as name or address, but really, isn't it enough to know that the deal is done? Exactly.
Uygur has been restaurant-less since October, when the vaunted Lola's where he was chef shut down. His free-agent status has included assignments such as the recent meal he cooked for the Clandestine Dining Society.

I love the idea of another great restaurant in Oak Cliff but wish the Bishop Arts District had more art. It's rapidly becoming the Bishop Culinary and Clothing District.

I wonder if it's one of those spaces on Davis (between BA and Bolsa) near enough to be called Bishop Arts but not quite.

I think it's going to be located on W 8th Street, in the same building and beside Dude, Sweet Chocolate.
