Cajun music dirties up North Texas

Our close proximity to Louisiana keeps musicians parading through town on a regular basis.

There are few cultures more rich in diversity and darkness than the hypnotizing forces of New Orleans and the Acadiana region of Louisiana. I spend as much time as possible prowling through the Dirty South to listen to music. My hazy memories of Lafayette and New Orleans leave behind a mountain of discovery of new sounds impossible in any other part of the world.

Roots music runs as deep as the Mississippi, all at once maintaining tradition and embracing creative evolution. The DFW metroplex serves as ample feeding ground for road musicians to gig 2-3 times per tour -- keeping weekend Cajuns like me happy in between jaunts out on the road.
