Comedy events in Dallas-Fort Worth, February 25-28
Isn't YouTube the greatest? It's like spying on a comedian before his show.
After a visit to several comedy clubs in New York City recently, I've got a newfound love and respect for comedy shows. There are lots of great acts coming to Dallas-Fort Worth this weekend. Check out a smattering of our favorites.
Todd Yohn – Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Oh, Todd Yohn. He's a funny bald guy who's made a name for himself singing “The Feminine Hygiene Song,” and other clever ditties. If you'll promise not to watch the following video when your boss is looking (big hint: It's Not Safe For Work – and might also offend your spouse), we'll show it to you. He may even play it at Hyena's this weekend in Fort Worth:

Yohn will perform in Fort Worth February 25-27, 2010.
Improv Smackdown – Thursday
Picture a really big, funny guy and a really little, not-funny guy. They battle to the death, dueling for audience laughter, and after a swift beat down from the stronger party, the winner wipes blood off his cheek and raises his fist in victory. We don't believe the Improv Smackdown at Mouth on Thursday will be anything like this, but since we don't have any other indications what it might be like, that's our best guess. You'll have to see for yourself. Admission is only 7 bucks.
Josh Blue – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Enjoying Josh Blue's comedy is painful and heartwarming all at the same time. Blue has cerebral palsy, and he's not afraid to make cracks about it. He is a YouTube sensation, with several videos topping 1 million pageviews. And his talent took him all the way to Last Comic Standing, where he won the show in 2006. And besides all that, he's on the US Paralympic Soccer Team and competed in Athens at the Paralympic Games. So before you think you're going to Hell for laughing at a guy who makes jokes about cerebral palsy, watch this clip:

Last Comic Standing champion Josh Blue will perform in Arlington February 26-28, 2010.
Craig Ferguson – Friday
Craig Ferguson seemed like a black sheep among the American funny guys on late night television. But heck, he still has a show, which is more than some can say. To see Ferguson, you'll have to truck it up to southern Oklahoma at the WinStar. Tell the old ladies at the slot machines we say hi.

Locked Out Comedy Auditions – Saturday
Locked Out Comedy is looking for more funny people who can do improv. They suggest you wear comfortable clothing, and they say musical talent is a plus. The event listing isn't funny at all, but maybe that's just their professional side.

Mark Nizer’s 3D Juggling Show – Sunday
Here's one for the whole family: a juggling comedy show at the Eisemann Center in Richardson. The whole thing is incredibly impressive. Check out this clip, which happens to be a promotional video but is cool all the same. (Look out for Zach Morris hair and early '90s clothing, an added bonus):

Nizer will give his family-friendly performance at the Eisemann Center on Sunday, February 28, 2010.
