The Mercury in North Dallas hires new wine director
Tahn Eisemann has been in Europe but previously worked at The Green Room and Aquaknox.
DALLAS No need to take a guess at which wine will compliment Chef Chris Ward’s culinary perfection when dining at The Mercury. The restaurant recently welcomed Tahn Eisemann as wine director. “My job is to ensure that the pairings of the wine and food is of the highest quality,” says Eisemann. “I am here to provide a service that will enhance the overall customer experience, as well as provide helpful knowledge for those seeking a deeper understanding of wine.”
Eisemann has just returned from working for several years in Europe where he trained with the Court of Master Sommeliers in London. Locally, Tahn has worked at favorite restaurants such as The Green Room and with Stephan Pyles at Aquaknox. In addition to his wine and food pairing skills, Tahn is also focused on bringing special wine oriented events to The Mercury, the first of which is an evening with Robin Lail of Lail Vineyards. The event is scheduled for March 2 and will offer a special menu hand prepared by Chef Chris Ward. Tickets may be purchased by calling 972-822-8757 or by emailing events@mcrowd.com.
Chris Ward is executive chef/partner for Dallas' award-winning restaurant, The Mercury, a multi-million dollar restaurant acclaimed nationally for Ward's imaginative culinary flair. Serving from a changing menu, Chef Ward uses influences from French and Mediterranean cooking to present award winning new American cuisine.
