Restaurant review: Sfuzzi in Dallas
The Garrett sisters visit revival of Dallas hot spot on McKinney Ave.
Thursday night we headed out to Sfuzzi. I tried to go to this restaurant right after it opened, but the wait was too long. This time we were lucky!
We opted to sit outside by the bar, which was a great seat! Cocktails were the first order of business. We tried the blueberry mojito and the Sfuzzi signature cocktail (peach and champagne). They were both very good and a deal for only $7!
During the cocktails, we were brought out a bread basket with dipping oil. The bread was warm and the dipping oil was really flavorful.
Next, we both went for a salad. We ordered the chop salad which came with peppers, bacon, tomatoes, and gorgonzola dressing. We also ordered the Romaine salad with eggs, green beans, and pepper. We were pleased with both!
Following the salads, we had to split a pizza. While they have several other section offerings on the menu, most people around us were sharing different pizzas. The four cheese pizza sounded good to us, so we gave it a try. The cheeses that were on the pizza consisted of parmesan, gorgonzola, ricotta, and mozzarella. The pizza was mediocre and lacked flavor.
We’ll have to try this place out again! It’s a Dallas hot spot with reasonable prices and a fun atmosphere.

$7 for a drink?? Wow. not the most I've paid but I'm not sure I would call that a deal as you've done. Overall, the review doesn't make me care about the restaurant. wlh

Hey wlhildeson, I think it was a perfect review, honest and well put. Reviews are not to influence you one way or the other, it's just the truth. I'm heading over there now, right after lunch crowd. =0)

I re-visited Sfuzzi last night. I love the location and still think their food is OK (as first written here). However, I tried one dish was really, really tasty last night: their breadless chicken parmesan. Get this next time you go!
