Upcoming Denton concerts — June 25-26
Ishi, Paul Slavens, and Trebuchet will compete for your attention in Denton this week.
Ishi -- Friday at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studio
Friday at RGRS, Dallas's Ishi will be having their CD release show in Denton. It is the first time the band will play in the Little D since March when they were here for NX35. This will also mark the first time most Dentonites will have the chance to get their hands on Ishi's much anticipated debut album, Through Trees, which is actually already available for purchase on iTunes, and has been since last week.
Ishi's meteoric rise in the DFW music scene has been remarkable to watch. Seemingly from out of nowhere, the band has exploded onto the scene and are currently riding the shock waves to the tune of one sold out show after another.
Paul Slavens -- Saturday at Dan's Silver Leaf
What can I say about Paul Slavens other than that he is a treasure of Denton music? He is not only a highly respected musician, but also a terrific and successful radio show host. And his latest music venture, Alphabet Girls, Vol. 1, an album released just a few weeks ago, has earned Slavens some much-deserved credit. It is a tremendous effort from one of Denton's finest.
Trebuchet -- Saturday at The Boiler Room
One of My Denton Music's favorite bands will be headlining at The Boiler Room on Saturday night. No matter what night you see Trebuchet play live, you can count on them putting together an exciting show. They are one of the most fun bands to spend an evening with, and are steadily climbing the ranks of the DFW hard rock scene.
