Spune announces free Thursday concert series in Frisco
Spune books free Thursday night original music series at Lochrann's in Frisco.
FRISCO Spune has had an eye on The Co for a while. Frisco is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States (according to Wikipedia), and over time, generally an entertainment district follows this kind of growth. It's clear the city is booming, as the suburb's housing developments seem to go up on every vacant piece of land every other month. Frisco is often considered a "bedroom" community, though, with most of its residents commuting for their work. The same goes for concert attendees. There are few live music establishments in the area, and even fewer hosting original local music. Therefore, concert-goers travel to Dallas and Denton to get their fix.
It has been encouraging to see so many ticket buyers coming from the area. We've seen a good amount of music fans represented at our shows in Denton and Dallas over the past year whose zip codes fall within the Frisco, Plano, and greater Northern Dallas cities. We decided to team up with Lochrann's on Main street in Frisco to produce a Thursday night original music series booking a diverse line-up of music from around the metroplex. We thought we'd give locals an opportunity to see quality original local music every week with out having to drive to see it. This way, in the year 2012 when either the world ends, or Frisco becomes a highly sought-after live music destination among the metroplex, we'd at least know we gave it a try or were on the right track.
Lochrann's Originals will be held each Thursday from 8-11 p.m. and is free! We plan to put bands that you may not normally see in Frisco on stage and mix it up a little. We're excited to assist in developing the Main Street area of Frisco as a premier live music performance destination in Dallas-Ft. Worth and look forward to seeing this young series grow. The venue serves some killer food and drinks so it's sure to be a good time.
