Irving Arts Center offering summer internships
In addition to the ExxonMobil CSJP intern, the Arts Center is seeking applications for two additional paid summer art camp interns.
The Irving Arts Center will offer one 8-week paid internship this summer as part of ExxonMobil’s Community Summer Jobs Program. This is the first time that the Arts Center has participated in the prestigious program which provides paid internships in the non-profit sector for full-time college students.
The Arts Center is seeking applications for a summer art camp intern. The intern will work for 35 hours a week from June 7 to July 30, 2010. Deadline to apply is April 2.
The ExxonMobil Community Summer Jobs Program (CSJP) intern will participate in the day-to-day activities of the Irving Arts Center’s summer camp program. Responsibilities include assisting teachers and children in the classroom, organizing art and recreational activities, designing the annual KidsArts/Kids’ Works Exhibition, and more.
The Arts Center is one of 75 non-profit organizations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area to receive an ExxonMobil CSJP grant. Other Irving organizations include Irving Cares, Baylor Medical Center at Irving, and Captain Hope’s Kids.
In addition to the ExxonMobil CSJP intern, the Arts Center is seeking applications for two additional paid summer art camp interns as part of the Irving Arts Center summer internship program. Intern hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., June 7 to Aug. 6, 2010.
