10 Richardson citizens up for Real Heroes Award


The nominees volunteer for such organizations as the Richardson Animal Shelter, Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, and Richardson Wireless Klub.

— We are really pleased with the great number of Real Heroes Award nominations we received for this year's award. All nominees are wonderful volunteers in Richardson, and volunteerism is what makes our city work. We congratulate all the nominees, and it was difficult in selecting a list of finalists. Here are this year's Real Heroes Award finalists, your friends and neighbors whose volunteer stories are very impressive.

You can vote for your first place selection by sending an email (only one vote per email address please) to: Richardson.Real.Heroes@gmail.com.

Put the name of your selection in the subject line of the email. The voting will end on April 23.

The first place winner will be announced at our Real Heroes Award Reception that will honor all our 10 finalists. The Awards Reception will be held at the Richardson Civic Center, Parks Room, on May 13 at 7:30 p.m.
