Collin County students get free tickets to FC Dallas game October 2
Ticket proceeds benefit local education foundations.
FRISCO In honor of Collin County Community Night, all students in the Allen, Plano, McKinney, and Frisco school districts will receive a free ticket to the October 2 FC Dallas game versus the Chicago Fire at Pizza Hut Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
“The partnership the city develops with FC Dallas will help foster the sport and bring a healthy lifestyle to the community,” Mayor Brian Loughmiller of McKinney said. “I love healthy lifestyles.”
Family and friends of students in the participating school districts can purchase a $15 ticket in advance. Tickets purchased in accordance with the students will see a portion of the ticket’s price donated to benefit the schools’ education foundations.
Mayors of each city have expressed their support for the event and FC Dallas’s involvement.
“This event benefits all our school districts because the money raised will help go to different foundations that give out scholarships to children of Collin County, and help them go to college,” Loughmiller said.
