Video interview: Aimee Teegarden and Thomas McDonell talk about Prom
She charmed us in Friday Night Lights; he'll play a younger version of Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's next movie.
Aimee Teegarden and Thomas McDonell were in Dallas last Wednesday, on a tour to promote their new film Prom, which opens nationwide on April 29.
Being a big fan of Aimee's role as coach's daughter Julie Taylor on Friday Night Lights, I was pleased to have a chance to speak with her and Thomas about their work in the PG-rated Disney film, which we'll review on opening day.
In the meantime, check out the video of our interview, in which you'll hear about a motorcycle mishap on set that could easily have put the brakes on the whole production.
McDonell, whose first movie role was in the Jackie Chan/Jet Li kung fu feature, The Forbidden Kingdom, will next star alongside Johnny Depp in Tim Burton's forthcoming retool of the gothic TV series, Dark Shadows. (McDonell will be playing a young Barnabas Collins — the same character portrayed by Depp in his older incarnation.) Teegarden can be seen on screen beginning this Friday in Wes Craven's new shocker, Scream 4.
