Dallas Cowboys announce 2011 schedule, beginning with the Jets on September 11

All the dates are pending an agreement between the NFL Players Association and the owners.

ARLINGTON — The Dallas Cowboys will have their first official game away from home this year, on September 11, as evidence of the schedule just released on the team's website. Whether these games take place as planned depends on an agreement between the NFL Players Association and the owners -- which hasn't yet been decided.

But we'll go forward with the schedule anyhow, beginning with four preseason games and then onto the 2011 season. All kickoffs are in Central Time.

2011 preseason:

• Thu, Aug. 11: Denver at home (KTVT/CBS 11): 7:30 p.m.
• Sat, Aug. 20: San Diego at home: 7 p.m.
• Sat, Aug. 27: @ Minnesota (KTVT/CBS 11): 7 p.m.
• Thu, Sept. 1: @ Miami (KTVT/CBS 11): 6:30 p.m.

2011 regular season:

• Sun, Sept. 11: @ New York Jets (NBC): 7:20 p.m.
• Sun, Sept. 18: @ San Francisco (FOX): 3:05 p.m.
• Mon, Sept. 26: Washington at home (ESPN): 7:30 p.m.
• Sun, Oct. 2: Detroit at home (FOX): noon
• Sun, Oct. 9: bye week
• Sun, Oct. 16: @ New England (FOX): 3:15 p.m.
• Sun, Oct. 23: St. Louis at home (FOX): 3:15 p.m.
