Audio: Foreigner records NASCAR-themed song for Texas Motor Speedway
It's to the tune of "Hot Blooded."
Foreigner -- "Hot Blooded-No Limits"
Click here to listen to the songA good theme song is important in any sport. Look at the Sunday Night Football song by Faith Hill or the Monday Night Football song by Hank Williams, Jr. There's also the more recent song, "That's The Way Baseball Go" by Merle Haggard, played at Texas Rangers games. The Texas Motor Speedway just got a new theme song, theirs by rock 'n' rollers Foreigner.
The song is a remix of "Hot Blooded" from 1978 that throws in a few lyrics featuring the marketing phrase "no limits." The song is called, well, "Hot Blooded-No Limits." Fans got to hear it for the first time Tuesday evening at a Texas Motor Speedway party at Gilley's. You can hear it here. The NASCAR-related lyrics begin at the 1:05 mark, and they start with a rhyme of "secret rendezvous" with "racin' like you never knew."
According to a press release, Foreigner will donate royalties to support Speedway Children's Charities.
