Denton singer Sarah Jaffe and Dallas hip-hop group A.Dd+ added to SXSW lineup
That makes five bands so far from DFW.
SXSW announced the third round of artists on Tuesday for the Austin festival in March 2012, and we were pleased to find two more Dallas-Fort Worth musicians added to the list: Dallas hip-hop duo A.Dd+ and Denton singer/songwriter Sarah Jaffe.
Jaffe's show at SXSW in 2011 was previewed in the New York Times as one of the best eight shows to see.
The addition of A.Dd+ and Jaffe are the biggest Dallas-Fort Worth names to be added to the list. The local bands already announced to play SXSW 2012 are Mind Spiders of Fort Worth, Sore Losers of Lancaster, and J.R. Patton of Dallas.
See the full list of announced bands here, or specifically the third-round artists (for those keeping a close watch) here.
