Concert series at Club Dada highlights local music blogs and their favorite bands
It's every Wednesday.
DEEP ELLUM The DFW music scene has blossomed tremendously over the past few years, and with that growth, an abundance of music blogs that solely feature bands/musicians in the area have become prevalent. (Take just yesterday; a new music site called The Violitionist Sessions kicked off.)
The newly re-opened Club Dada in Deep Ellum is helping local music blogs showcase some of their favorite local bands while coming face-to-face with those who read their work. Says John Solis, local booking and promotions manager for Club Dada, “I want these music blog showcases to turn me on to the best in new music. That’s the whole reason why I read music blogs in the first place!”

Every Wednesday night, the venue will host what they call The “Blogosphere” Showcase, which will feature a local music blog each week along with performances from the bands of the blogger's choice. This Wednesday, Ghost of Blind Lemon will be the first blog to host a showcase and will feature Rahim Quazi, Phoenix Hart, Madison King, and Goodnight Ned. Next Wednesday evening, the second Blogosphere showcase will be hosted by the Local Yokel Show. They've invited Doug Burr, Ryan Thomas Becker, Pretty In Pink (featuring Jencey Hirunrusme of Smile Smile), and Dogdander.
If you're an active music blog and want to get involved, email Solis at email@example.com.
