I liked Monte Carlo more than I thought I would. The Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy visuals had a little bit to do with it, I'll admit.

Kevin Kline speaks French (with English subtitles) in Queen to Play, a disarming dramedy about the seductiveness and empowerment of the game of chess.

A Better Life shines by virtue of the moving lead performance turned in by Demián Bichir. Even if it does try a bit too hard to hammer home its message.

The Sarah Palin subject-friendly biopic The Undefeated is what it is, and no bones about it. If you're sympathetic to Palin and Tea Party politics, you're going to love it. If not, you're unlikely to darken the theater door. Which seems to beg the question: What's the point?

Sarah will never sell herself short. This film is simply another publicity stunt to make Palin what she really wants…. not the presidency, but cold hard CASH. Palin is for $ale and is making it rich on your dime with every book, speaking engagement, and movie ticket that markets her image and sells her looks (it’s certainly not her choice of words which got her this far.)
