A Better Life shines by virtue of the moving lead performance turned in by Demián Bichir. Even if it does try a bit too hard to hammer home its message.

The Sarah Palin subject-friendly biopic The Undefeated is what it is, and no bones about it. If you're sympathetic to Palin and Tea Party politics, you're going to love it. If not, you're unlikely to darken the theater door. Which seems to beg the question: What's the point?
