DALLAS — Exciting news for downtown Dallas: Pho Colonial Authentic Vietnamese Diner will open in The Wilson Building on August 3.

In a release, restaurateur Khanh Dao says that the location will offer dine-in, take-out (walkup window), and delivery service in addition to having a selection of pre-made Bánh Mì sandwiches and fresh Vietnamese salads for take-out.

This is good: There will be valet parking at night, "as well as bike parking stands and scooter-friendly spaces."

Pho Colonial's Master Chef Phat Tran's menu includes: Saigon style Pho, traditional Vietnamese noodle soup served with fresh vegetables and herbs for garnishing to taste; Bánh Mì, fresh French baguette sandwiches with choice of grilled meats or house-made goose-liver pate; Bún, rice vermicelli noodle with choice of grilled meats; dumplings, Vietnamese Spring Rolls with Peanut Sauce, and featured items such as Shaken Beef and Sate Chili Shrimp.

They'll have a limited alcohol service, i.e., beer, wine, and sake.

Designed by award winning designer, Hatsumi Kuzuu of Kuzuu Design, Pho Colonial downtown features a sleek interior but cozy environment, and signature pink mopeds with large flat screen televisions and a large outdoor dining patio. Counter service and walk-up window available as well as complimentary delivery service ($20 minimum) which includes beer, wine and sake.

With restaurant experience that spans over a decade, Khanh Dao's projects have included award-winning concepts Voltaire Restaurant & Bar, Steel Restaurant and Lounge and The Draelion Restaurant and Drae Lounge.

Hours of operation are Sunday-Thursday 11am-11pm and Friday-Saturday 11am-1am (dining room open till 11pm and walkup takeout till 1am). Valet parking after 6pm available on Ervay Street.
