UPDATEDx11: Dallas Mavericks win first championship in franchise history
Their time has finally come. The Dallas Mavericks won Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, 105 to 95, giving them to the franchise's first championship.
The win is especially exciting because the Mavs battled the world's most gruesome threesome: LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat.
We'll update you soon with a game recap. For now, we can say: We guess Jason Terry's tattoo wasn't in vain after all.
UPDATE: The City of Dallas Facebook page says that city officials will announce plans for a victory parade "in a few days." It will probably happen the week of June 20.
Dale Hansen announced on WFAA that the team will not return to Dallas tonight but will instead stay over in Miami and fly back to Dallas tomorrow; Donnie Nelson said they'll leave Miami at 9 a.m. Eastern time, which puts them at the airport at about 11 a.m. Dallas time.
UPDATE x3: Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban told ESPN Dallas he wants to pay for the parade. "I’ll pay for it because I don’t think it’s right for the city to have to pay for it. And let’s just have some fun," he said.
And while we're talking about Cuban, check out a photo he tweeted at about 9 a.m. CT as he and the team got on the plane:
Cuban couldn't sleep last night he was so excited. At least he had a trophy to cuddle with.
UPDATE x4: Last night, the Mavericks partied at LIV nightclub in Miami -- the same bar, if TMZ is to be believed, where LeBron James' mom was arrested for slapping a valet.

UPDATE x5: The Mavericks are finally home. We will update you with a set of homecoming photos from the airport (UPDATE: Here they are), but until then, here's the crowd that Caron Butler photographed as the plane was coming in:
UPDATE x6: You, me, and every Mavs fan you know are now honorary Ohioans, courtesy of the governor of Ohio and lingering LeBron James hatred. Use your newfound dual state citizenship wisely.
UPDATE x7: Relive the Game 6 win in all its glory courtesy of the latest fantastic NBA mini-movie:

UPDATE x9: The parade is Thursday at 10 a.m. Read more here.
UPDATE x10: In a story about Cuban on Monday, Advertising Age says he's the most marketable man after the NBA Finals. He's also "one of the best, if not the best, owners in sports." Sports marketing expert Lou Imbriano then told Ad Age this:
UPDATE x11: Our Facebook friend Brian Cuban, who is Mark Cuban's brother, posted this ridiculous photo of Cubes and the trophy:
