Annika Sorenstam coming to Dallas in April for charity event
She's a Hall of Fame golfer, wine maker, and philanthropist.
DALLAS Coquerel Family Wine Estates will host Hall of Fame golfer, wine maker, and philanthropist Annika Sorenstam for a two-day event to benefit the ANNIKA Foundation. The event includes dinner at the Park Cities Club on Sunday, April 3 at 7 p.m., and a day of golf at the Dallas National Golf Club on Monday, April 4 beginning at 8 a.m.
Clay and Brenda Cockerell of Coquerel Family Wines will pair their award-winning wines and Annika's wines with dinner, prepared by John Tesar from Dallas and Kerry Simon from Las Vegas. Dinner tickets are $500 per person and proceeds will go directly to the ANNIKA Foundation, which teaches children the importance of living a healthy, active lifestyle through fitness and nutrition, and offers aspiring junior golfers opportunities to pursue their dreams.
"Clay and Brenda share my passion for great wine, food, and golf, while raising funds to positively impact thousands of children," said Annika. "I'm very pleased to partner with them to offer this Experience to further my Foundation's mission."
The golf outing with Annika, to be held at the Dallas National Golf Club, will begin with a 90-minute golf clinic where she will demonstrate shots and observe each player on the practice range, offering golf tips for guests in attendance. Following the clinic, six foursomes will play a round of golf where Annika will join each team for at least two holes. Post-round, golfers will enjoy lunch, where Annika will sign autographs and photos with the golfers. The golf outing is $2,500 per person and proceeds will also go to the ANNIKA Foundation.
Dinner reservations are limited to 125 guests, while the golf outing is limited to 24 golfers. Please contact clayandbrenda@coquerelwines.com to RSVP.
