Denton band hosts potentially-offensive “MILF” pageant on Saturday
But more than two dozen moms have already signed up.
DENTON — At a show at Andy's in Denton on the eve of Mother's Day, a local band is hosting a beauty pageant for moms. Sweet, right? Well, it's specifically a "MILF" beauty pageant, named for the acronym coined in the movie American Pie for a very attractive mother.

Richard Haskins, vocalist for the band the Wee-Beasties -- who will be performing at the show on Saturday -- is proud of the idea. "Who doesn't enjoy a good MILF?" he said. "Plus, we're holding it the day before mother's day. Classy!" According to the event listing, those who can enter are "a hot mom of any age." If you don't have kids, you have to be "over 28 and smoking hot."
Offensive? Yes, probably.
But at least a handful of moms haven't been so offended, as Haskins reports that 30 people signed up the first day. Then he takes it to a place we didn't need to go: "Basically, what makes you a Queen MILF goes beyond mere beauty. Of course that plays a huge hand in it, but there's other stuff too," he said. "Your ability to drink large amounts of libations, the ability to dance like there's no tomorrow, and a true Queen MILF knows how to party. She exudes sex, but doesn't come across as slutty. The Queen MILF is a goddess."

who are the wee beasties? never heard of them. guess you have to throw shows with crazy names cuz you cant g et fans out there any other way. o well. i wont be spending my money at this. a bunch of no name acts and old women on stage...ya i rather stay at home and watch cougar town.
