If this is October, it must be Hitchcocktober time at the Angelika

Classic Alfred Hitchcock thrillers play each Thursday at the Dallas and Plano locations.

Those classic-movie-loving programmers at the Angelika Film Centers (Dallas and Plano) are reprising their successful program of Alfred Hitchcock film screenings during the month of October.

This year the featured Hitch flicks will be:

October 6: The Birds (1963)

October 13: The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)

October 20: Rear Window (1954)

October 27: Psycho (1960)

At the Angelika Plano, each Hitchcocktober screening will carry a special $6 ticket price.

At the Angelika Dallas, the films will be screened for free — but with a twist: They'll be shown on the patio outside the theater on an open-air screen. Seating is first-come, first-served, and lawn chairs and blankets are recommended.

The movies play on Thursday nights in October, with a different film shown each week. At the Dallas location, showtimes are 8 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as it's sufficiently dark); at the Plano location, all shows start at 7 p.m.
