— Feeling blue lately? You’re right on trend for the fall fashion season. Friday night during Fashion’s Night Out at the Galleria Dallas, electric blue was the shining star at the swank event.

The mall hosted two fashion shows. Produced by Jan Strimple, the shows featured the hottest trends for the upcoming season showcased on North America's longest runway on that night -- a quarter of a mile long. Along with a parade of shocking blue garments, models flaunted hues of charcoal, taupe, and black. To break up the monotony of the monochromatic pallets, shocks of striking greens and reds and muted jewel tones speckled the runway. The fashions were accented with sleek, slick-back ponytails in varying lengths and textures, and bold red lips.

Shoppers of all ages were in attendance decked out in their most stylish, creative, or (for some) totally out there attire. From tri-color mohawks to towering stilettos, guys and gals were dressed to impress. Many of the trends forecasted on the runway could already be seen off the runway. As predicted by Strimple in a previous interview, leg wear was indeed a popular fashion do. The guys held their own, too. Bold patterned ties, coordinating hats, and tons of color completed their outfits.

At opposite ends of the mall’s first floor, Fashion Group International, Inc (FGI) and The Fashionistas hosted shopper lounges, complete with spirits, hors d’oeuvres, and musical entertainment. Both shopper lounges treated weary shoppers/partiers to an oasis in the middle of the shopping bustle.

This year marked the third anniversary of Fashion’s Night Out. It is an internationally celebrated event created by Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

The event looked pretty well UNATTENDED, aside from a few misguided victims.
