UPDATED: Record number of tickets to be given away for Free Night of Theater in Dallas

The annual Free Night of Theater is back in Dallas, with a few changes.

This year, interested parties will have two weeks to peruse and pick arts openings that happen from October 1-31. You can win up to five pairs of tickets by choosing your top five shows. Winners will be picked at random.

It's the fourth year that Dallas has offered Free Night of Theater. This year, instead of offering only theater events, the calendar also has dance, music, and opera.

Declare your love for up to five pairs of tickets between September 9 and September 23 here.

Participating organizations include: Contemporary Ballet Dallas, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, Dallas Asian American Youth Orchestra, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, The Dallas Opera, Dallas Theater Center, Dallas Wind Symphony, Garland Civic Theatre, Jubilee Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theater, MBS Productions, Pocket Sandwich Theatre, Repertory Company Theatre, Rover Dramawerks, Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Teatro Dallas, Theatre Three, Turtle Creek Chorale, Undermain Theatre, Uptown Players, WaterTower Theatre, Dallas Children's Theater, and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

UPDATE: The City of Dallas reports that almost 5,000 tickets will be given away to about 3,500 people, a record. Many requested tickets for the newly-added genres of dance, music, and opera.
