Dallas Cowboys begin season with game against Super Bowl champions

ARLINGTON — The Dallas Cowboys' 2012 schedule begins with a Wednesday game against Super Bowl champions the New York Giants on September 5. The season unfolds with seven games against six teams who made the playoffs in 2011. The first home game at Cowboys Stadium is September 23 against Tampa Bay.

America's Team will appear on Sunday Night Football twice this season, and once on Monday Night Football. The Monday Night Football game is the Cowboys' 74th appearance on the show -- second behind the Miami Dolphins' 78 times, according to the team. The Cowboys have won the most Monday Night Football games in history, 43 times.
