Million dollar home of the week: 7118 Elmridge Drive in Dallas
From high ceilings to high-end everything, this Northwood Hills home has it all.
Sometimes when you put a lot of wood in a home, it starts to feel dark and claustrophobic. Too much custom cabinetry, too much dark wood floors, and too much art, and it starts to feel like the walls are closing in.
That’s why 7118 Elmridge Drive is so refreshing! There’s tons of beautiful wood finishes on this Northwood Hills home, but the high ceilings, which, paired with huge windows, brings in enough light to make it feel cozy and yet spacious.
It doesn’t hurt that the home, marketed by Virginia Cook’s Mayo Redpath for $1.15 million, was built in 2001. It still looks completely new inside, with a gourmet kitchen with tons of built-ins and two dishwashers. The light fixtures are gorgeous, and so is the wood floor, which continues throughout the home.
The living areas are well-appointed, with fireplaces and custom cabinetry that will fit even the largest book collections. The furniture fits the home so well, that, if I were buying it, I’d definitely try to negotiate it!
There’s a big-screen projector in the bonus room upstairs, which is great for sports fans. You have tons of space to entertain, and with five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths, you have room to overnight some guests.
The master, well, it’s a work of art. The custom vanity has so much space for all of your perfume bottles. And the countertops and tile, well, they’re so beautiful! I love the window next to the jetted tub, too.
Outside, there’s not only a pool to cool off in during our insanely hot summers, but there’s a fire pit where your guests can gather round and stay cozy during the winter. This is truly an entertainer’s house with a great location and an even better price!
