It sure doesn’t feel like Christmastime in Dallas

It was 80 on Monday. Blech.

— For the third straight day Monday, the temperature in Dallas hit the 80s.

The last time there were three December days in a row in the 80s was 1908, according to the National Weather Service.

And Monday was only December 3.

The high at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was 80, 20 degrees above normal for the date. The record, 89, came in 2005.

Sunday’s high of 83 broke the previous record, 81, set in 2007. Saturday’s high of 83 tied the record set in 1950.

For the rest of the workweek, the temperature isn’t expected to exceed the mid-70s. The chance of rain is low.

On Sunday, when the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon takes place, the high could again be inching toward 80. Skies should be somewhat cloudy, winds moderate (13 mph), and the humidity high (60 percent).
