No arrests made in apparent homicide in Plano

Police are still searching for Bobby Joe Tanner's pickup, which may lead to potential suspects.

— More than three weeks after Bobby Joe Tanner, 50, was found dead in his residence in the 3100 block of Royal Oaks Drive, no arrests have been made.

The Collin County Medical Examiner and the Plano Police Department would not reveal the cause of Tanner's death, but Plano PD Officer David Tilley said the death is being investigated as a homicide. At the time Tanner's body was found, the officers expected foul play and noted his injuries were not consistent with suicide or natural causes, Tilley said.

Tilley could not confirm if detectives were working on any leads, but said they are still searching for Tanner's pickup -- a red 2006 four-door Chevrolet with Texas license plate number AK99367.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Plano Police Department tip line at 972-941-2148.
