Grab standing room only tickets Thursday to sold out FCS title championship in Frisco
North Dakota State University takes on Sam Houston State University at FC Dallas.
FRISCO Seats for the 2013 NCAA Division I Football Championship game at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on January 5, are officially sold out. However, a limited number of standing-room-only tickets will go on sale Thursday, December 20, at 10 a.m. at NCAA.com/fcs.
Tickets will be $30 and provide entrance to the venue along with access to watch the game from the concourse, but do not include a seat. This marks the second consecutive year that the title game, hosted by the Southland Conference, the city of Frisco, and the Hunt Sports Group, has sold out of seats at a capacity of more than 20,500. This year's championship game, featuring a rematch of last year's title contest between North Dakota State University and Sam Houston State University, will also air live on ESPN2 at noon.
"We expect this to be another outstanding FCS Championship game," said Damani Leech, NCAA director of championships and alliances and operations manager for the Division I FCS Championship. "With two great teams playing for the national championship in front of a sellout crowd, the atmosphere will be electric. In addition, many people have put in a lot of time and effort into making sure that the participating teams and their fans have a tremendous experience."
For fans interested in seats, the NCAA Ticket Exchange at fcs.flashseats.com offers a safe and easy way to buy, sell, or transfer tickets through an approved secondary outlet. The NCAA Ticket Exchange is the only guaranteed, NCAA-approved secondary ticket marketplace. The NCAA Ticket Exchange allows fans to buy great seats confidently, knowing that the seats are authentic, never counterfeit.
Fans that do not have tickets are encouraged to enjoy the festivities leading up to the start of the game, which include Tailgate Town, the Stadium Walk, and Pep Rally and the POWERADE NCAA Youth Clinic.
Tailgate Town is a fun-filled, interactive area that allows fans of any age a chance to experience the thrills, excitement, and spirit of college football in the FC Dallas Stadium Parking lot. It will be open from 9 a.m. to noon and features some of Frisco's best food, drink, and live music.
The North Dakota State arrival and stadium walk will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Sam Houston State's at 9:45 a.m. North Dakota State will kick off the first pep rally at 10:15 a.m. and it will last approximately 15 minutes. The pep rally for Sam Houston State will begin at 10:30 a.m. All walks and pep rallies will be held adjacent to FC Dallas Stadium.
The POWERADE NCAA Youth Clinics are open to boys and girls ages 7-14 at 9 a.m. at the FC Dallas Practice Fields adjacent to the main stadium. The POWERADE NCAA Youth Clinics will be managed by USA Football and former NFL players. Participants will receive sport instruction, get valuable information on fitness, healthy lifestyles, and sportsmanship. This is a free event, but registration is encouraged at www.NCAA.com/fcs. Limited walk up registration is available beginning at 8 a.m. on game day. No equipment or experience required.
