Video: LeAnn Rimes blames Carly Rose Sonenclar, 13, for weird X Factor performance
Some people are alleging that Rimes was drunk.
Part one of The X Factor season 2 finale is history, and as expected, it wasn’t great. Even the ratings were lower than season 1′s finale.
As I mentioned on my previous post, I have several reasons to think Carly Rose Sonenclar was being thrown under the bus when being paired by LeAnn Rimes. So, did the duet ruin Sonenclar’s chances of winning the competition? Possibly. For some reason, Rimes sounded like I do when I try karaoke, and believe me, that is definitely not good. Many online wondered if the Garland singer had a little too much to drink before the performance.
On the other hand, it could’ve improved Sonenclar’s chances of winning when you compare her performance with that of her seasoned duet partner. And just like that, the tables are turned; Rimes, who used to be the one who blew famous acts out of the water with her performances, last night was destroyed on stage by a 13-year-old. We will see how this pans out when the winner is announced on tonight’s final episode of The X Factor on FOX.
What does Rimes have to say about the performance? The normal thing that a caring adult would do. Blame the kid. Rimes tells TMZ she was not drunk when she performed and that any awkwardness was because “I was trying to help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song.”
Yes, the performance was not Sonenclar’s best performance, but she still sounded great, while I am still trying to figure out why Rimes was so messy throughout the whole thing.
Take a look at the video below and let me know what you think. Do you think it was Sonenclar’s fault? Did Rimes look loopy to you, or did she sound great?

LeaRn Rimes needs to cut a check for 5 million dollars to Carly if she loses.I understand addiction and she can't help herself and it's obvious that she is in denial about the whole incident, but when and if this country music star ever hits bottom she will look back on this performance on X factor and definitely have to make ammends to the beautiful little girl Carle Rose Soneclair. That is if she ever hits bottom. So many music stars, actors and performancers never make it to the bottom,They either o.d. Or commit suicide. I just watched The announcement that Tate Stevens won the X factor so Ms rimes you have a decision to make, either do the right thing and admit you forgot the words to the song and hindered the chances of Carle Rose Soneclairs to win the X factor and cut a check for 5 million dollars or at least compensate her in some way or you can continue to cover up the real problem which is addiction. What will it be?

There is no way possible that Tate Stevens should have won . Sure he is a good father and decent singer, but no one on the show could compare to Carly's voice. Carly should have won hands down last night.

LeAnn Rimes' performance was awful. Did it cost Carly the competition? I don't think so. I think Tate won because he's likable, sings well and doesn't have the chances Carly does as time goes on.
Do you all realize that Carly has been in the business for quite some time? Why did she need to go on The X Factor to be discovered? Her voice is tremendous and deserves all the success to go with it. However, she's been on Broadway, commercials, etc. I think her parents need to hire a decent promoter and manager and she'll go far.

At the 1:53 mark Carly has a look of concern, which turns into a great smile when she notices the camera is on her. At 2:10 this concern seems to have deepened. Carly and Britney's remarks at the end are not sarcastic, because they are not bitter or meant to mock Rimes. Yet they both seem to say the opposite of how they felt. I think Carly was uncomfortable and Britney was shocked. So if they used a different tone, Carly's "You made me feel very comfortable" and Britney's "It was shockingly amazing" would have been sarcastic. Rimes poor performance did not help Carly. However, I feel the real reason Carly did not win was because XF had a 3-way finale where Carly and 5H split certain blocks of voters. In a 2 contestant finale, Carly would have likely won.
