Lights All Night Festival at Fair Park: December 29-31

Send 2012 out with a bang at a three-night event featuring some of the hottest dance music makers in the world like Tiesto, AVICII, Bassnectar, Calvin Harris, Ghostland Observatory, Diplo, and more. Dance the night away as top international acts, and a few up and comers, give you a reason to shake your booty way past the strike of midnight.

With three climate-controlled stages, you won’t have to worry about the weather. Just relax on luxurious furniture and take a look at some visual art installations. Fire spinners and professional dancers will make it a wild few nights. Wear your sassiest New Year's Eve outfit.

Big D NYE 2013 at American Airlines Center

The sixth annual Big D NYE boasts the biggest New Year’s Eve celebration in the Central Time Zone. Set in Victory Park at the American Airlines Center, the live television broadcast will feature two stages full of music from Forever The Sickest Kids, LEOGUN, Pentatonix, Sleeperstar, Good Shive Low, Breaking Southewest, and electronic beats by DJ Ro Parrish. The family-friendly event is free and will feature a few celebrity guests and a fireworks display at midnight.

For the past few years, Dallas southern rockers Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights have put on a hell of a show at the Granada Theater for New Year’s Eve. This year is shaping up to be the best one yet. Dallas country-infused rock outfit Somebody’s Darling and Fort Worth’s Quaker City Nighthawks will be along for the ride as you usher in the New Year with a beer in your hand and a song in your heart.

If a low-key New Year’s Eve show is what you need, then the Kessler Theater in Oak Cliff has just the right headliner in local darling Sarah Jaffe to ring in the New Year. 2012 has been good to Jaffe, and 2013 looks like it is going to be even better for the Denton singer-songwriter. She recently showed the nation what she’s made of with an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and is poised gain more national attention in the coming year. Hip-hop outfit A.Dd+ opens.

There’s a party going down in Deep Ellum at Trees, and Ishi is at the center of it. Ishi will get your booty shaking to their electronic beats all night long. This show in particular will be exceptionally worthy, since the band specializes in kicking parties up a notch with their stage show and funky music. Ishi invited Los Angeles band El Ten Eleven down to Dallas for the show, as well as local bands Romp Almighty, Binary Sunrise, and a special DJ set by WHITE MOUNTAIN.

Bring in the new year with unlimited bowling for four hours. The celebration includes shoe rental, party favors, a live DJ, and a sparkling-wine toast at midnight. It's December 31 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Prices vary between main concourse and private bowling suites.

New Year’s Eve at the Gaylord Texan

The Ballroom Gala features live entertainment by dance band Downtown Fever. The event includes a dinner buffet, two drink coupons per person, dancing, party favors, complimentary self-parking or valet parking, and a champagne toast at midnight. It's $149 per person.

Glass Cactus Nightclub also hosts a New Year’s Eve party featuring live entertainment by Le Freak, the self-described “greatest disco band in the world.” General admission tickets begin at $89 and includes party favors and a midnight champagne toast.

Ring in the New Year at Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in Addison

Sing along with four “dueling” piano players. Admission includes party favors, singing, and a bottle of sparkling wine with a table reservation. Reserved seating is $65 per person, with a minimum of four guests per table. General admission starts at $20.

New Year's Eve cruise for Harbor Lights on Lake Ray Hubbard

Sail With Scott offers New Year’s Eve cruises aboard Harbor Lights, a new 57-foot powerboat with an enclosed main deck and open upper deck. Four New Year’s Eve cruise times are offered, each one celebrating the new year of a different time zone. Each hour-and-a-half cruise includes a fireworks show, and guests may take their own foods and beverages. It leaves from Bella Harbor on the eastern shore of Lake Ray Hubbard. $25 per person.
