Pizza Hut gave free pizza to 100 people with “lame” Christmas gifts
Sorry, those of you with lame gifts who are just now seeing this. The promotion is already over.
PLANO Sometimes people just aren’t satisfied with their Christmas blessings. They complain about the socks under their tree or the coal in their stocking. (Hey, it’s a valid energy source!) Plano-based Pizza Hut wanted to be there for those people, so it oh-so-generously offered a “trade”: Tweet them a photo of your lamest Christmas gift, and they’ll give you a $10 Any Pizza to ease your pain.
But what defines “lame”? One guy tweeted a hairbrush. That thing is useful, bro! One girl tweeted perfume that’s apparently called “Tattooed” by Inky, which is … unique. One guy tweeted a photo of nothing. I think his real Christmas gift may have been a valuable lesson in not ending up on the Naughty List.
But then this girl had the audacity to call this awesome turkey hat “lame.” Come on, girl. Free pizza may sound great, but don’t lie to the Internet. You know that hat is the bomb.
My question is: What about people who didn’t celebrate Christmas? Could they have just taken a picture of some random crap in their room and passed it off as a gift?
