UPDATED: St. Vincent performs on Gossip Girl Monday night
See her new video for "Cheerleader" below.
Former Dallas resident Annie Clark, of the band St. Vincent, debuted the music video for "Cheerleader" from her latest album Strange Mercy. The video is eerie just like the lyrics, and it features the beautiful Clark as a living sculpture in the middle of an art museum a la Ron Mueck. Shrugging off her puppet-like life, Clark seemingly breaks away from her confinement.
The video is directed by Hiro Murai and is moody and curious, maybe like Clark is.

If you like what you hear, a free download of "Cheerleader" is available here. (The rest of the tracks from Strange Mercy are 99 cents.) The album is worth a listen: We called St. Vincent one of our top five artists of 2011 and placed Strange Mercy in our top five albums.
Clark formerly released a music video for "Cruel," which you can watch here.
Clark also mentioned that she will perform on Gossip Girl on Monday, February 13.
UPDATE: Here's a peek into her performance on Gossip Girl, announced on Clark's Twitter feed.
