Kids and family events in Dallas-Fort Worth, February 9-15
Two new theater productions and an arts and crafts festival are your best bets this week.
All good things must come to an end. After weeks of well above average temperatures, the weather has inched closer to actual winter levels this week. Sounds like a good time to stay inside and keep warm. The following events will allow you to do just that while still actually getting out of the house and doing something.
Karen Almond
Timylle Adams, Nebyat Teferra, Alex Mutti, Eliza Palter, and Zoe Kerr (sitting) from Dallas Children's Theater The Secret Life of Girls
Dallas Children's Theater aims toward a little higher age bracket with their next show, The Secret Life of Girls, starting Friday and running through February 26 at Rosewood Center. It tackles the world of girl bullying, a destructive practice that unfortunately still goes on in many schools. Starring and geared toward teens, it's a must-see for any teenage girl.
Also on the theater front is the classic Charlotte's Web, starting Friday and running through February 26 at Casa Manana Theatre in Fort Worth. Come see the unlikely bond between Wilbur the pig and Charlotte the spider come to life on stage, showcasing what great traits friendship and loyalty are.
