Texas Brahmas 4, Allen Americans 0

The Texas Brahmas defeated the Allen Americans 4-0 on Tuesday night at the Allen Event Center.

After a scoreless first period, the Brahmas got on the board in the second on the power play, as Brahmas Captain Adam Hogg beat Rejean Beauchemin to make it 1-0. Brendon Hodge and T.J Fox with the assists for Texas at the 2:33 mark. The Brahmas added to their lead just over a minute later when Chad Woollard found Jacques Perreault in front of the net, beating Rejean Beauchemin with a back-hander to make it 2-0 after two periods of play.

The Brahmas scored two more in the third period. Andrew Lackner ripped one from the left side at the 17:06 mark to make it 3-0, from Adam Hogg and T.J Fox. Then the Brahmas, on a five-on-three power play late, added the final nail in the coffin when Dave Barr found the back of the net to make it 4-0. The Brahmas outshot the Americans 35-26, picking up their first ever regulation win at the Allen Event Center.

The Americans played without several of their top players, including Bruce Graham, Colton Yellow Horn, Jim McKenzie, Keith Johnson, Adam Pineault, and Ben Wilson. The Americans welcomed back Erik Adams tonight. Adams played in his first game for Allen since Game 5 of the Bossier playoff series last year.

The Americans next game is Friday night in Dayton against the Gems. Puck drop is 6:05 p.m. local time.
