35 Denton adds a ton of local bands to four-day festival

Whew.

We ribbed 35 Denton a little bit for putting together a music festival with obscure bands, out-hipstering itself with each lineup release. But we'll eat our words today, as 35 Denton announced 111 new bands -- yes, 111 -- that are going to make this four-day festival March 8-11 rather spectacular.

The new announcement includes a ton of bands hailing from Dallas-Fort Worth, including: A.Dd+, a hip-hop group from Dallas also playing SXSW; Fort Worth singer/songwriter Doug Burr; Denton comic book king Fishboy; folk outfit Fox and the Bird; RTB2, one-half of which got our nod for Best Artist of 2011; Fort Worth band Burning Hotels, whose self-titled album is getting high praise; and Two Knights, a spunky group we called the "band you haven't heard of" that we think deserves more interest. (Guess the cat's out of the bag.)
