Video: Deep Ellum tattoo artist Oliver Peck judges Ink Master, premiering Tuesday
Peck owns Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas.
Tuesday night on Spike, Deep Ellum tattoo artist Oliver Peck makes his reality TV debut on Ink Master. Peck will critique 10 tattoo artists who claim they're the best in their craft, judging them alongside two other pros.
The winner of Ink Master receives $100,000 and a feature in the magazine Inked. Contestants are shown inking dead pigs and numerous human canvases in an episode trailer.
The show is hosted by Dave Navarro, the rocker who plays with Jane's Addiction and was formerly a member of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Peck is owner of Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas and True Tattoo in Hollywood. He wrote himself into the Guinness Book of World Records for inking 415 tattoos of the number 13 in 24 hours, which took place during a 24-hour inkathon on Friday the 13th -- a popular tradition at his Deep Ellum shop. (The former record holder was Kat Von D, Peck's ex-wife and star of the TLC reality show LA Ink.)
