The Addison branch of Cyclone Anaya closed on Monday and will be replaced by a sushi restaurant.

That leaves two other area branches of Cyclone Anaya: the one in Dallas on Oak Lawn Avenue, and the newer one in Fairview. A staffer at the Fairview branch said there are no plans for now to shut down either.

"There's lots of competition in Addison and they didn't have enough business," the staffer said.

Another staffer confirmed that the space would become a sushi restaurant from the owners of Sushi Axiom.

The Cyclone Anaya chain was founded in 1966 by wrestler Cyclone Anaya and his wife Carolina; it has four branches in Houston.
