Sambuca in Dallas to host Paws Cause 2012
Replete with Wizard of Oz theme.
There’s no place like a home! Follow the yellow brick road to Sambuca Restaurant in Uptown Dallas this Sunday, January 29 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for Paws Cause 2012, The Wizard of Pawz. The popular annual event will feature a silent auction, raffle, Bone Appetit restaurant raffle and a cork pull, and it’s all for a very good cause.
“Animal overpopulation is one of the most urgent problems facing the Dallas Metroplex. By supporting the great work of the SPCA of Texas’ Village Fair Spay/Neuter and Animal Wellness Clinic over the years, we are able to ensure the continuation of the services so necessary to combat this problem,” stated event co-chair, and DFWAnimalRescue.com’s good friend, Mary Spencer. “My hope is that by raising funds at Paws Cause 2012, we can reduce the number of unwanted animals, as well as assist people in caring for their beloved pets.” Last year, Paws Cause raised $200,000 to help the clinic provide free and low cost pet surgeries, vaccinations and other treatments.
Tickets are $150 each and can be purchased at www.pawscausedallas.org.
Raffle tickets are available for $25 each or five for $100 by contacting Paws Cause at pawscause2012@gmail.com. The raffle drawing features a gorgeous 14kt white gold diamond necklace and pendant featuring the silhouette of a cat courtesy of Leland’s Gold and Diamonds, a $5,000 gift certificate toward a purchase at William Noble Rare Jewels, wine tasting and hors d’oeuvres for sixteen at Fuqua Winery, a three-month membership with training sessions at the Cooper Fitness Center, and $500 in NorthPark Center Gold Coins. The silent auction will include a three night stay at a Hilltop Villa in Laguna Niguel (3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths), a beautiful pin from the deBoulle Estate Collection and a diamond pendant from the Diamond Doctor, to name just a few.
The cork pull will be $25 per pull the night of the event. Attire is casual, and valet parking will be available. Paws Cause desk calendars are now on sale at www.pawscausedallas.org.
