Listen to clip of Erykah Badu and Wayne Coyne’s collab, “Now I Understand”
It sounds like you're in outer space with a very talkative iPhone.
The ever-knowledgeable Siri is certainly famous for being Apple's female know-it-all, but now she's also being featured on an ambient song by Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips and Dallas' Erykah Badu, Coyne announced on Twitter. The song also features Biz Markie.
The track is part of a collaborative album that Coyne is working on with Bon Iver, Ke$ha, Neon Indian (from Dallas), and more, and will be released April 21 on Record Store Day.
In the clip, you'll hear brassy accompaniment while Siri says (over and over), "Wayne -- I don't understand," which we've heard Siri say (with our name subbed in) all too often. But she gets a moment of clarity after Badu sings as if her muse, hence the song's title, "Now I Understand."
The clip will be available for one week only, according to The Flaming Lips' SoundCloud page.
You're in for plenty more updates from Coyne on the collaboration if you follow him on Twitter.
