Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth to reopen in September
The historic venue is back after two years.
After two years and the fear of demolition, the Ridglea Theater in Fort Worth is slowly rising back up and beginning to book new shows.
On September 18, metal rockers Down will play with WARBEAST and haarp at the theater, marking the venue’s first show in two years.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of owner Jerry Shultz, Ridglea was saved from demolition the past two years and instead listed in the National Registry of Historic Places.
Tickets will go on sale Friday for $25 at AXS.com, and even if you’re not a metalhead, you should still get excited at the potential the theater has to come back from the nearly dead. Let’s hope we will see more bookings in the future!
