New summer cocktails at Second Floor at Galleria Dallas, plus Omni Hotels

One of them is a prickly-pear margarita!

Summer cocktails are coming in via press release:

Second Floor at the Westin Galleria Dallas Hotel

Second Floor has a trio of cocktails for the summer, one of which is -- potentially -- the best cocktail known to mankind: the prickly-pear margarita. The three cocktails are:

  • French Tea, with iced tea, Charbay Meyer Lemon, Chambord, mint, and lemon
  • Prickly Pear Margarita with Jose Cuervo tequila, lime juice, Cointreau, and prickly pear puree. All over that.
  • Skinny Segundo with Lillet Blanc, pomegranate juice, Herradura and Cava

Omni Hotels & Resorts

Omni has regionally-inspired drinks for four regions across the U.S., and one of those four regions is "Texas."

The cocktails for the Texas Region are: Stoli Corona, Watermelon Lime Sangria, Grilled Pineapple Cocktail, Lemon Tea Smash, and Skinny Chipotle Margarita.

Drinks for other regions we do not get include Elderflower Champagne Collins, Long Island Sound, Ginger Blossom Pick, Skinny Grapefruit Tequila Spritzer, and Blood Orange Collins.

Omni is trying to sell its summer program as "sustainable," as follows:

"In addition to signature regional cocktails, guests can beat the heat with Keeper Springs natural spring water. Keeper Springs donates 100% of its profits back to local waterway restoration projects. Omni Hotels & Resorts is partnering with Keeper Springs to provide an additional 5-cent donation for every bottle sold to Waterkeeper Alliance, a global environmental movement uniting nearly 200 Waterkeeper organizations around the world and focusing citizen advocacy on the issues that affect waterways from pollution to climate change."

Here's a better idea for a sustainable water product: Drink it from the tap.

OMG. I just this day had a cocktail at Second Floor: The Treetini. And they plant a tree in your honor when you buy one.

It is easy to drain away profits from any business by spending lavishly on oneself, then claim your a generous sport because you donate 100% of "profits" to charities...

Robert F. Kennedy, Founder of Keeper Springs, famously flies around in private jets ! Presumably, paid for with the pre-profit proceeds from Keeper Springs ! . That Omni, a taxpayer funded project, would associate with the phony Kennedy is a joke.

Plus, TG is righrt. If the Omni wants to be "sustainable" put a filter on their water system and use City of Dallas water !
