Dancing with the Stars crosses the line by showing smiling Big Tex
But Melissa Rycroft, from Dallas, sizzled.
Emmitt Smith & Cheryl - Samba & Rumba - DWTS (Allstars Fusion Week)

Real men wear pink.
And Cowboys Hall of Famer Emmitt Smith is a real man — and dancer, too.
Smith danced his way back to the middle of the pack on Dancing with the Stars: All Stars with a hot pink fusion dance to two different styles — samba and rumba.
The dance wasn’t his most impressive number and looked very repetitive to his past dances. But it got rave reviews from judge Bruno Tonioli who “loved it,” and Len Goodman, who said, “I don’t think I could have done as good as that.”
Smith received an 8.5 from Carrie Ann Inaba but 9.5s from Tonioli and Goodman.
All the couples also danced in a swing dance marathon. Each got a number of points (from 4 to 10) based on how long they survived. Judges eliminated the couples one-by-one. Smith took fourth place.
The lowlight of the night was a fake campaign ad by the Dancing with the Stars producers that referred to the Texas roots of Smith and former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Melissa Rycroft. In it, the screen showed a smiling Big Tex.
Speaking of burning (cough), Rycroft burned up the floor during the dance marathon and took first place.
Scores for individual dance and dance marathon (totals in parentheses):
- Melissa & Tony: 29, 10 (39)
- Shawn & Mark: 30, 8 (38)
- Kelly & Val: 27, 9 (36)
