What do Dallas guys say the perfect woman looks like?

No, they don't happen to mention plastic surgery.

Apparently, the perfect woman is worth more than $225 for a first date.

Apparently, the perfect woman is worth more than $225 for a first date.

The same people behind that weird, kind of gross sounding travel dating site are back with more Dallas-related surveys. This time, they’ve polled the Dallas-based users of WhatsYourPrice.com, essentially a dating auction site (because love can’t be bought, but it can be auctioned off?), to see what they think makes “the perfect woman.” Complete with dollar figures for how much a date with such a woman might cost. Really.

To quote the release, the perfect woman for Dallas men is: brunette (+$136.94) with hazel eyes (+$34.88), a social drinker (+$19.32) who doesn’t smoke (+$11.76), who is a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree (+$24.12). That makes for an average first date offer of $227.02 on the site. With movie theater prices the way they are, that’s probably like two 3-D tickets and a medium popcorn, right?

With the exception of the nonsmoking thing, not a single one of those characteristics describes my wife. So you might imagine that I have some disagreements about this survey’s “findings.”

“Of all the major cities surveyed, Dallas is the only location to value brunette hair and hazel eyes the most,” said site founder Brandon Wade. “Dallas men also look for a college education [Bachelor’s degree] and an active social life [social drinker] when dating women.” Because drinking is the only kind of social life you can have, obviously.

What do you think about this description of Dallas’ “perfect woman”? Is it accurate at all, or do you have your own opinions?

What about the perfect guy? In my opinion, the perfect guy is blonde (but kind of balding, even in his early 20s), with blue eyes, and makes a living as a writer and editor. I mean, talk about something that makes you swoon, right?
