Get free Dallas Mavericks tickets at Idle Rich Pub at 5 p.m. Friday
We'll just call it happy hour.
DALLAS It's Friday -- a good reason to skip out of work a little early, no? Idle Rich Pub in Uptown Dallas has free tickets to the Dallas Mavericks/Golden State Warriors home game on Monday, November 19. Pub employees will begin handing out two tickets to anyone in line at 5 p.m. until the tickets are gone. You should probably hop in line by 4:30 p.m.
We just talked to David Allen, operations director for Idle Rich, The Old Monk, Blackfriar, and Renfield's Corner, and there's no catch. The tickets were purchased by Brett Landes of the Landes Group, a real estate investment company also headquartered in Uptown. Landes bought a few hundred game tickets twice last year as a nice gesture, then let his local watering hole pass them out.

He does it "just to be generous around Thanksgiving," said Allen.
The tickets are good: They're all in the lower bowl, in the 100s or 200s.
Last year, a line snaked all the way around Idle's bar prior to giveaway time, Allen said. They won't even make you buy a drink in exchange for the tickets. Although: Don't free Mavs tickets call for a toast?
UPDATE: Can't make it to the game on Monday? The Mavs just announced that they're offering buy one, get one free tickets for the Mavs/New York Knicks game Wednesday, November 21. You need to bring a gently used coat or blanket to the AAC from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Monday, or Tuesday to get your tickets.
