Zig Ziglar’s memorial service on Saturday will be streamed live online

PLANO — Motivational speaker Zig Ziglar, who penned more than 30 self-help books, will be remembered Saturday at the church he attended for more than 20 years, Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano.
Ziglar died Wednesday in Plano. He was 86.
The service will also be streamed live at www.prestonwood.org.
Laurie Magers, his personal assistant for several decades, remembers him fondly. “There was no phoniness to him at all — what you saw was exactly what he was,” she said of the man who wrote See You At the Top. “He was probably one of the kindest, most gentle people I have ever known.”
The memorial begins at 11 a.m. Church officials recommend arriving early.
