Kelly Clarkson will release a greatest hits album in November
The DFW-based superstar will also include three new songs on the album.
From her amazing voice to the way she has handled her career since she won American Idol more than 10 years ago, Kelly Clarkson has been a very successful artist. She has managed to keep her name in the spotlight based on talent and not just for playing the “fame” game, all while selling millions of albums.
As a recap of the last 10 years, Clarkson announced Thursday a new project Greatest Hits – Chapter 1, which will be a compilation of hits from her beginnings as household name up until now. The album, which will be released on November 19, will also include three new songs. The first of these songs is "Catch my Breath" and will debut on radio and as a single on October 16.
Here’s what Kelly had to say about the new song: "To celebrate the strength and longevity that my fans, friends, and family have supported me with, I wrote this song 'Catch my Breath' with one of my best friends that has seen me through everything. This song represents who I’ve been, what I’ve felt, and where I’m headed as not only an artist but as a 30-year-old that is now smart enough to know that it’s time to stop, catch my breath, and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today."
Also, isn’t that single cover art one of Kelly’s best? She looks beautiful, and they finally used a decent font.
What Kelly Clarkson song do you most want to see on Greatest Hits-Chapter 1? I call "Since You Been Gone," "Behind these Hazel Eyes," and "Because of You."
